Snow went away in my Tundra?

Is that a thing? It's tending to be just above or around freezing so, it make ssense but it's staying above those temps for a couple of years now? This is sandbox and I had it on sunny/daylight for some building, I've put it back on random weather for some time.

For how long? I liked the snowy sun setting. I mean, I know global warming exists but I kinda like to live out my fantasies in my video games.

Basically until it cools down and snows again.

Also, the tundra is not always covered in snow in real life too. The snow completely melts every year during summer, has nothing to do with global warming, just normal seasonal changes

I know. I just ... meh, it's been a few years since extended snow cover. And setting to snow creates a snowstorm - enjoyable but not what I was hoping for.

A related question: I know that weather and daylight cycle independently of the specific date/year that it shows in-game. But does anyone know if weather and daylight cycles revolve around any other pattern? For example, is it based on x number of minutes/hours on play? Or x number of minutes/hours in-game, whether played or paused? And does increasing speed change the speed that you play at make weather cycles move through either more quickly, or last three times as long?
