The inability to repair our paintwork has been an issue for a VERY long time. Has there been any official word from the devs about this? Is it a bug that's harder to fix than it seems or has it been overlooked? It would be nice to have my shiny Corvette actually be shiny. :)

It isn't automatically repaired when you repair everything else .... for reasons that most objected to shiny ships lol

Look in the advanced maintenance tab and check the condition of your paintwork repair status there. I think that may solve it for you. Unless a bug prevents that working ?

...the hell? You CAN repair it. Advanced maintenance, like Lightspeed said.

Must be a bug for me. I click on Advanced Maintenance, then click on the "Paint Work" button and nothing happens. It's been an issue for a very long time and I just assumed that it was effecting everyone. Guess I'll report it, lol.

You have to select 100% (if I remember correctly) otherwise you repair 0% of your paintwork :)
It's definitely non-intuitive.
