So, About This Odyssey Release...

I never did, I was merely mocking how the game is rapidly going the way of free to play with numerous currencies to contend with. The mention of financial advisor was pure sattire.

I don't think that's a F2P thing really, BDO is F2P and they really only have 3 currencies, Pearls, Loyalties and in game gold, multiple different currencies seem to be the brand of pay to play like LOTRO, that has such a ludicrously large number of different currencies that is seems utterly pointless.

Remember when one currency was plenty in a video game? Now we'll have Scrooge McDuck levels of credits but already own most of what credits buy.

Odyssey will be like

Not another one, for the love of flimely! - I'm gonna need an app on my phone to keep track of the exchange rates of all the in game currencies!
The "currency" bit originates from a careless comment made by Obsidian Ant in one of his youtube videos. He tried to clarify the comment as erroneous, but, as expected, it took off in our wondefrul community - who ignored the retraction as it took all of the fun from the outrage.

The impression is that the new 'currency' is engineering mats - which are needed for the new Odyssey engineers...

Yes, we'll need those Odyssey engineers to have our suits automatically process bio-waste into neat containers we can sell, or drop on top of those pesky bases while cackling sardonically.

Does anyone know of anything in the new Odyssey release that is going to cost a bunch of credits (like large ships, stations, etc.)?

Reason I ask is because I have a small pile of credits (small to some, not to others) that I will not be using to lease a ship hauler/barge, and was wondering if I should hang onto it for up and coming toys in the new release, or go ahead and maybe buy a few more ships or whatever suits my fancy?
I'm saving my credits for small seismic charges, who knows the price tag might be in the billions....
