so about those "Mysterious things" added...

I really liked what they did before with the Generation ships. It was one of those things which helped fill the void as we waited for the Thargoids to come. Do you think they added more for us to discover? Or at least the ability to find some of the settlements from the ones that survived or managed to get some people off ship before their demise? I personally like to explore close to the bubble for such things. I find the eeriness of what might be right under our noses the most exciting thing. Such as the generation ship where an alien message drove everyone insane. I'd like to be able to follow up more on humanity's old history in space...and keep finding the ghosts they have left behind...

That being said, not all mysterious things have to be Thargoid related. We know well enough from other discoveries in the past there are plenty of other mysterious messages, deaths, and lifeless ships through the galaxy already found. I want to keep finding more of these. They spark the imagination, and make us realize there may be more "mysterious things" in our galaxy than just Thargoids...

yes there are stuff, and has been for awhile. if you spend enough time down on the surface prospecting out of the bubble you will eventually find allot of such things.
and i think maybe there is a higher chance near points of interest, at least 90% of all the traces of civilization that i have found has been near nebula's.
but that could also be because i prefer to prospect around such places.

They are for Ed to uncover during one of his streams.

In PG naturally, we don't want those pesky _ordinary_ players to have any part in this, don't we?

Outside of the wrecked Federal ships, what was "uncovered" by Ed Lewis during a stream?
Also, FD switched to doing their streams in private group after streamers were always attacked for no in-game reason when they were doing it in open play.

Can you give some examples? Because I've explored a great many planet surfaces for hundreds of thousands of kilometers in my SRV far outside the bubble, and I've never found anything truly unusual. Just lots of material nodes with the occasional crashed nav beacon or shipwreck when close enough to the bubble.

yea sure, most stuff i found is just little hints that something has been there, like for example concrete blocks with reinforcement bars sticking out of the ground, or metal panels sticking up from the surface or things that looks like it was carved into the rock. i like to believe that they are clues to that there is something more significant nearby that i have yet to discover.
crashed ships, satellites and abandoned Srv's that use to be common near the bubble i have also seen, but quite far out, as far as 4kly .
and one time i found a ruin of a rather large outpost, there was just the foundations left, metal scattered everywhere and some destroyed dome structures but nothing to interact with.

Ah okay, yeah man made random POI's can spawn around the bubble area, up to 5K out I think? What you are finding is normal bubble stuff then. I thought you were finding stuff out in deep space, like 10,000+ out or further. Once you get past the 5K mark all of that vanishes and the planets get very empty and barren.

I don't think all of it is normal bubble stuff, i have seen things that looks more carefully placed then the normal POI's. and normal POI´s are not static. also if we are talking about remnants from the generation ships then it would be strange if we found it further out as i don´t think any of them has gone that far?

further out i think one would be extremely lucky to find something, but i know there are stuff.
like that giant (drilled?) hole that is on youtube, or wrecked metal structures people have seen. things that maybe could have other origin than human or thargoid.
maybe traces of the rouge AI that is supposed to be out there somewhere.
