So...ah..."winter"...did I miss it?

I've been hanging around waiting for the whole thargoid thing to take off. It started so well with the unknown probe mystery and decoding of those cryptic pictograms. Winter was coming! And then...ok a wrecked scout here and there, weird planetary bases. Yeah you can go pick a fight with one if that's your idea of how to interact with other intelligences. But it's been pretty low key, really.

So I'm starting to wonder if winter has been and gone, and the real problem is that my imagination/expectations have been wildly out of kilter with the game. Or if the "so this is it, we're going to die" moment is yet to come?

Is all this going somewhere? Galnet threads rarely seem to have conclusions. I'm confused. How about you?

I think they meant that the Thargoids being ammonia based life forms are cold, and therefore will move at glacial speed and or hibernate for weeks/months/years...

Its getting old now, two weeks and no new AXCZ’s, yawn. Starting to wish i had gone along on the exploration jolly leaving human space to fend for itself.

“Winter is coming (very very VERY slowly)”

I think we have winter. It's just not terribly cold and there is not much snow. But yes, the Thargoids are all over the bubble. Ok, they don't do lot of harm, they only attack systems with ammonia worlds and a dedicated force of pilots is well able to drive them off from single systems. So, I am not really that confused. I think we will get to a point when the bubble is divided between Humans and Thargoids. When neighbouring border issuses will finally be settled maybe we will finally be able to learn to communicate, trade and learn from each other.

I really doubt, that the thargoids are interested in "peaceful" relationship with humans, again.
Let's face it. As soon as the "flowers" reappeared, humanity had nothing better to do than pick them "flowers".

As far as it concerns me: As a Thargoid, I would beat the hell out of humanity and wipe that selfish and arrogant plague out the galaxy.

Thinking I once honestly thought the Thargoids were short before attacking Sol or Achenar...or Deciat...silly noob, me. They can't even attack Pleione, for Stargazer is an asteroid base :D

There obviously was put much effort into the Thargoid models, the ground bases, the burning stations and the like, but somehow, Winter got stuck on the road somewhere.

O7,
[noob]

I think OP's should include some suggestions / improvements on the subject in threads like this. Otherwise it's just another post saying "I don't like dis". At least that's just me.
