So, Any Bets on How Long It Will Be before Arissa Lavigny Is Assassinated?

I think the Feds will manage to off her within the month. Her security is only going to get tighter the longer they wait.

I think Hengist will die before the wedding.

This is my thoughts, considering the emphasis of "30 days", and then the subsequent news post about decaying health of the Emperor. I imagine they're just trying to set up the scene for an Emperor trying to sort his affairs before passing away, but ultimately being unable to do so, throwing the Empire into chaos.

Yup, that's where my money is.

Succession War, no clear line of inheritance, a push for competency rather than bloodline being the instrument for succession. It's going to be a bloodbath!

War is good for business....well mine anyway :)

I think she will survive.

But Hengist son isn't insane and will be preparing to make a move on her claim to the throne not long after Hengist bite the dust.

Is there an oversight?
I am so lost with all this story part.
~
All I understood so far is:
Federation -- Seems to be the SOL organisation. StarTrek like?
Empire -- Likes slaves. Uk like governement?
Alliance -- Communists?

That seems a very American view.

Four minutes after the first mission to assassinate her shows up on a bulletin board.

Ha! Thanks for the laugh, but that is the reality... She'll be a post-toasty.

I am from Europe. :p
But sry that's really all I understood so far.
It's messy for one that never was in the story.

Empire, UK-like? How? It's based on the Roman Senate.

Alliance: EU? Then I guess I like them. :)

EU is almost the same thing like USA.
I live here.

its more like:

Federation:
Based on idea of democracy unfortunately it is corrupted because of greed.
Giant corporations have lot of power.
Bribery and corruption is prevalent.
Strict sets of rules which are bend by powerful, but are strictly expected from poor.
That's pretty much where WE are now. :-/

Empire:
Feudalistic style of government. Where emperor have most control.
Society with less laws but strict honor code.
Slavery is way of paying debts. And slaves are treated fairly. Not how would you imagine.(at least what they say)
Laws are to be upholded by all expect rulers.
That makes it pretty much similar to federation. But here it is known fact.

Alliance:
Independents are idealistic bunch.
Many different cultures, they don't often agree with each other.
However they share one goal - helping each other against other two factions.
They just simply want to be left alone.

At least that's what i understood.
