I'm currently away from my PC. Is there any news on the alien base or Merope?

Barnacles seem to be doing the same as always on Merope, and there isn't really anything else. The alien base seems to be permit locked.

Nope. Planet with the base on is permit locked, same for Col 70. No change at barnacles, no changes noticed at all in fact.

I was in another players asp out in the Maia system. He was flying around look for strange POIs.

At one point near the planet we saw a strange distortion that looked kinda like blue fireworks. Was right near a planet. Then I got disconnected and couldn't rejoin his asp

Maybe it ate him and his asp?

Yes that was in the beta. Now it could also be permit locked.

too bad i wanted to start playing ED again, but keep an eye on forums maybe something emerge and hopefully it won't be just another cutscene.
