I still have the manual, but the short story book has long since gone missing. The only ones I can remember even vaguely are one about an Empire spy, and one about a Captain Jupiter getting stuck in a religious hellhole of a system with a hold full of (illegal) live animals.

Funny you should make this thread, as I just made this video:

I loved those stories. The First Encounters ones were good too. I haven't read them for years! I remember one about people partying and drinking some kind of drug that was like an acid that burned their throat. They would do anything to their bodies because every night they would go back to their hotel, climb into their 'shower' and be minced up by whirring blades and reconstituted into a new clone complete with their memories from the night before. Awesome.
Nice, I've put it on SC forums.
Thanks. I'll look for it over there and see how well it was received![]()
When something new is revealed it is always a Wowzer and they haven't failed to disappoint yet.
Its the British way! and long may it continue.![]()
Underpromise and overdeliver. As a Nordic chap, I can appreciate this understated style very much indeed.
Also... it's kind of the polar opposite of the constant hype from a certain American frenemy of ours *innocent look*
