So... are naval rank missions fixed?

I've been trying to get a clipper for the last week but because of the buggy naval missions I can't get the rank I need. The patch notes for today said:
" - Rank missions should no longer give other faction rank as reward. "
Does that mean they are fixed? I never had that problem, the problem I had was they didn't give you any rank and also didn't show up on the BB when they should.

Can any one confirm if they are working as intended?

No, they aren't they are still just as random and buggy as before, all they fixed so far is some people, when being awarded a rank up, had it awarded to the opposite faction.

So while they were fixing that did nobody at FD think "Hey since we are fixing the missions to make sure they give the rank to the correct faction, why not at the same time make sure they actually give people a rank up!" I mean really, they must have had the same file open and everything. It can't be that hard to fix simple missions and rank progressions.

Nope it's still broke. I know because yesterday I did 3 ascension missions that should have taken me to Serf, but did nothing.

I was talking about the update that happened this morning. But ya I guess the missions are still as broken as they were yesterday... and for the past few weeks... :(

Nope still buggered!

At least in Empire anyway, Baron => Viscount failed, no rank change =(

Federation seems fine I've ascended there today.

Sounds like a textual bug.

Ranks go :
  • Cadet
  • Midshipman
  • Petty Officer

AFAIK you can't skip a rank.
