That's a huge bummer... On the plus side, the preorder bonuses are kind of token and not very worthwhile on their own. Just skins for jeeps and helicopters. Nice to have, but not something I'd fight tooth and nail to get. So buying after release shouldn't be so bad, if it ends up not letting you preorder at all. 
(A lot of people confuse the Deluxe Edition dinosaurs for being a preorder bonus, but rest assured, they're available after launch as well.)
