Depends which Power you are pledged to & the Power of the commander you attacked.

Some people just pledge to a power for modules and/or bonuses, fly without brain to LYR for discounts and REALLY don't know why they suddenly get attacked.
It's just that they don't bother about PP besides the shinys and so they think it wasn't okay to attack/destroy them.

Don't care about it and just continue to do your business
