So, Beta up for download

Its probably to enable the cross platform testing with the Mac version, only one way to find out how big it is

it should be 1.2 still so if you already have it I can't imagine there will be much to DL?

Downloading it now for PC, it seems to be more or less full-size.

It was pretty quick for me - seemed to copy most of the stuff from the existing installation. Definitely not the 1.3 beta, though.

Careful going to Dalton, though; full of hundreds of canisters right now. Lag city. It's also a "Start from 100k CR in a Sidey and a Freegle" beta, not a "start from where you are" beta.

Well not the Beta I was hoping for but never the less it all seems to work so far. Had to start from scratch again though which is a bummer.

Had my backer Eagle which was nice but apart from Sol other permits seem to be absent.

If you're looking for new features don't bother, it appears to be the standard PC 1.2.07 version, just with crossplay with the mac version. I only played it for a few mins last night (had a pesky phone call interupt me) and other than appearing a bit darker (reminded me of how the old betas looked) it seemed about the same to me.

Can't say what size, took me ~ 45 mins to download, I have decent BB, the limiting factor for me (on all downloads for ED) is the FD server speed.

Its always slow, but there are likely tens of thousands of people all trying at the same time, if not more after an update of any kind.
