So CQC the next big update?

So is CQC the next big update or do we think we'll get anything before? I must say having read it's not part of the main game I am very disappointed. I will play it and enjoy it and I understand why Frontier has done it to try and attract more players but I hope the main game gets massive content as well. I'm running out of things to do and enjoy at the moment!

I think they have a separate team for CQC so it won't detract from other updates. Not to mention it would be kinda silly to not have any updates until CQC which won't even come out until winter-ish for the PC.

Definitely not - CQC arrives just before Xmas, but I am 100 per cent certain we will see more goodies before then. I suspect something in late August after Gamescon and another release end October. Exactly what who knows I have a wish list here but I dont intend to speculate.

For the console guys, maybe, but given PC users are not getting it till years end I hope to have a couple of big ones before then PC wise.

+1 that.

If I want to play Unreal Tournament, or Call of short attention span, I play them. That's not Elite.

There are billion things that could go into Elite that would be be better for the game, without making it into another game and as a result, something less.

I understand CQC for the consoles and would accept that a few might want it as an optional add-on for PC, but leave the core game alone.

^^ This totally. Like PP I am not interested in arenas and the like and will not be using CQC.
Hopefully the next update will be a proper upgrade of the core game and not just a take-it or leave-it bolt on which PP and CQC are.
When will we get some exploration additions, space phenomenon and things to investigate...or even Thargoids ????
