Frontier doesn't want to see combat . They just killed it plain and simple
What they want to see is a community hunch backing all day for peanuts or exploring
And don't Give me that stick in the explanation "it had to be nerfed" bull.
Before 2.3 People traded explored or fight
Now with 2.3 People can ONLY Trade that is limited
Explore = Bets on nerfs next
Combat is a waste of time , Try this 2 or 3 missions only with a 200k pay out each amounts to less than 1m with a ship
Insurance of 10mil.
that I had enough of trading pebbles I had my fair share
I came to this game to be part of massive battles and so pre 2.3 It did reward for taking the risk
Stacking might be a problem ..yes to some extent but don't limit it to a total waste of time
Frontier where does the word commander apply? NOT IN THE Supermart delivery department
I will say this I don't want to go around and scan planets or take stuff from a to b
I will do this if its needed IF its needed but I want join wars and see action about what the boasting of this game been all about.
The only thing ruined is the implementation of Multi-crew.
Missions don't share rewards and if you are under the rank of Elite your earning are severely hampered, friend of mine is Deadly and in the time it took to make almost 6 million credits in combat bounds (he was gunning and flying fighters occasionally in my Corvette) he earned a smidgen over 2mil and was there with me the entire time. At this same time I also turned in over 20 million credits in combat related missions and guess what he earned nothing from them either. (At least add a share mission reward option)
I can understand not wanting newer players to get a leg up so to speak but its not like we have a P2W system here were credits are worth real money or anything, so what if a guy who has 10 hours played earned enough money to buy an Anaconda, just means a bigger buy back cost when the thing inevitably gets blown to hell and he/she is back in a Sidewinder. For people like me and my friends who some of which including my self have close to if not over 1000 hours logged have been essentially slapped in the face and there is no reason financially to act as each others crew members.
In the future why on earth would my friend want to sit in my Corvette gunning for an afternoon when he can make 6 times + the profit flying his own half billion credit ship around (we both own fully G5 engineered Corvettes and both own Cutters) Don't get me wrong its cool and all that we have the ability to crew up but for what reason?
I think playtime or your ranks(Not factoring CQC in) and major reputations(things like being Duke or Rear Admiral) should be a determining factor for shared progression, there is no reason why being Deadly instead of Elite slashes your earnings by 50-60%. Mission rewards that are credit based only should also be split equally between players, maybe increase the cap on high yield missions you can accept at once for each crew member. Alternatively crew members should have access to there own mission boards that have to be vetted by the Helmsman.
Friend/random tries to take a mission from there board
message pops up for who ever owns the ship "so and so is requesting to do - insert mission, and the reward -" Followed by the option "Accept" or "Decline"
Under the Transactions tab all members of the crew will see the mission with the reward reading something along the lines of...
3 Crew members: Mission reward (9,000,000 Credits) 3,000,000 Credits
Shared with - insert other crew members names -
Again though, I do enjoy the multi crew aspect of the game, I do however feel that it needs more incentives as it is not as profitable as it could be at the moment to dedicate your time to being someones crew member and I advise anyone who reads this to only group up as a crew to have fun, you will only end up frustrated if you think your going to turn large profits doing so. (Unless everyone you crew with happens to be triple Elite or something and in that case money is probably not an issue for anyone anyway)
