So F.D... Are we customers or beta testers?

Ok in today's 'patch laden' society you have to understand the complexity of software these days, its easier to have a group before launch to iron out the most bugs than release a game which crashes everywhere. Yes this doesn't catch all bugs BUT on the most part it makes it a better experience for the end user.

Yes there probably bugs in there somewhere due to the mixture of PC hardware not every single combination can be tested, also every single driver version and software install so bugs do still remain.

Back when we had fixed hardware bugs were easier as everyone has the same machine but today is a whole new ball game.

What are you talking about? People whined about the Diamondback, they added the Diamondback Explorer. People whined about the 10% module resale tax, they removed it. People whined about the powerplay rating system, they seem to have changed it to fixed goals. People whined about a 7 day cooldown on all bounties, they made the cooldown proportional to the bounty. They've done almost everything that a large number of people asked for.

The level of entitlement and ungratefulness displayed by a significant portion of the player-base is frankly disgusting.

OK Redwizard here we go:

- Exploring needed its own ship, and the Asp isn't it; the Diamondback was a good candidate to make a variant to have NOW instead of waiting months while FDev make a whole new ship design.
- 10% module resale tax meant swapping loadouts on modules YOU HAD ALREADY BOUGHT BEFORE - cost you even more money because they have not provided a "store modules" facility, not even one that forces you to go back to the same station to do it.
- Powerplay rating system need to be changed so that it was more team based instead of player vs player WITHIN THE TEAM, based.
- 7 day bounty cooldown on 200 Cr fine.... 7 day bounty cooldown on 2 MILLION Cr fine - need I say more? (or are you that naive they should be treated equally?)

These were not "whines", as you state so pithiliy, (yes that's a word, go look it up) but very legitimate concerns about poorly implemented design decisions; that either needed to be changed to actually make them do as they were supposed to do according to the design brief OR what they need to do in the absence of a proper system so the player is not penalized for said lack of proper alternative.

I don't even play the damn game and I know that - you need to read more about what's going on before espousing such poorly thought out comments. DB has publicly said some of the issues above were not how it should have been.

(and if you wonder why I keep following the game's progress - it's because I'm STILL waiting for a refund - and if it never arrives I'll have no choice but to play this... thing.)

Why is the asp not it? what extra feature do you want that it doesn't have?

If you are seeing this message, it means I've posted in a thread on a forum of a game I'm not even playing..... << this is a reminder to STOP IT.

This really says it all. In your post, you use words that you assume the rest of us don't understand.

Those who overtly push their supposed knowledge on others, are generally hiding the fact they lack rational thought, and probably critical-thinking skills. The fact that you're forcing yourself to play the game whilst waiting for a refund clearly shows this (Not to mention your signature goes against the post you made.... are you, or are you not, playing?).

How about you go play something you actually like? Just a thought.
