Is the limited availability of rares shared between players in open? Or is it that there are say, 7 available to you, but other Cmdrs buying that item would not reduce that number?

When smuggling goods that are illegal on a station but NOT stolen (alcohol, drugs, tobacco on certain stations), is the price still halved? And if so, how the hell does that make sense? Smuggling illegal goods is incredibly profitable, go ask a cartel :p

What do we know about the 'top 5 bounties' list? I'm assuming it doesn't update to show only players who are online at the time (even though it should), but has anybody spotted how regularly it updates?

Yes, regular market won't buy them if they are illegal.
But don't sell them at that starport if they are illegal, you can get full price at another starport where the items isn't prohibited.

As normal, not what you have but WHERE you sell it and RISK. Risk and demand normally control price in the real world.

Still think it's funny that Coffee is illegal at some stations, must be full of vampires.

Stands to reason someone outlaws it.
