All I can see in the distance on those screenshots are stars and a few distant galaxies.
what direction is the new planet in, relative to the sun & the nearby planet?

Can you see it in this image? It is slap-bang in the centre of the image. You can see the sunlit crescent which will give you an idea - look in a circle pretty close around the star.
we can see it clearly now in obviously false colors, seems to be another black circle do you see it?
Indeed, I had to pump up the engines and boost bout 5 times to lose the Incursion attackers, before I could even find it and take these shots.
What prompted you to go looking for it in the first place?
