So, has anyone else spotted...

All I can see in the distance on those screenshots are stars and a few distant galaxies.
what direction is the new planet in, relative to the sun & the nearby planet?

Can you see it in this image? It is slap-bang in the centre of the image. You can see the sunlit crescent which will give you an idea - look in a circle pretty close around the star.

...the distant extra planet and orbiting moon in Incursion yet?

I'm sure I can't be the first:

Flying a bit closer you can see it quite clearly

LOL....
That was a good spot indeed.

Dude, I spent ages looking for that on my iphone late last night, I couldn't see anything on my tiny screen. Although I was looking for two small balls in the distance.

Back in the office however, I was able to analyse your findings on a bigger screen. When I saw finally the cresent moon thing, I got goose bumps. Seriously though, good spot!

I wonder if that was put in there by design and purpose?

yeah ok... but...

..once the galaxy will be up with all the random generated property Zelada will be almost a dangerous place to visit (if the original FEE description will be the same in ED).

I don't know if something is just changed but the description says:

Anarchy - survival of the best armed

i don't think you will be able to do the tourist and visit the place in peace.

Ahh, cool! I thought I saw a crescent moon one time but it was in the heat of the moment (wave 9 probably) and put it down to seeing things. Now I'm going to have to properly look out for it.

The joys of exploration!!!!!! Grinning from ear to ear and wondering what other interstellar and interplanetary objects / curios the various commanders will discover as the testing process progresses.

What prompted you to go looking for it in the first place?

I just caught a glimpse of it while in the middle of an intense dogfight... "what the heck was that??" then I couldn't remember where it had been, so on my next playthrough I ran silent until I found it, then boosted half a dozen times towards it to lose my pursuers.

I think this is easier to spot for people with different monitors or gamma settings than me :p I seriously didn't see anything but a few specs before the false color image!

I noticed these bodes when I was playing the Alpha 1.1 combat build today. The host star was occluded by one of the structural frames in the sidewinder cockpit, and I noticed a planetary body and moon.

I am looking forward to travelling to these things using the FSD, but I wonder how close will we be able to get to the planet? And will the planets look a wee bit better at the start of the beta? I'd really love to get in to a lower orbit and relax and watch the universe go by.

Really really want an oculus rift now...

Last night before bed, I set the controls for the heart of the [odd little planet and its moon].

When I woke up...

...I was dead.

Dayumm! Will try again tonight...

K.

Well spotted, Couldn't really see from your screenshots, but went to look for myself and found it pretty easy on Factions level. Much easier to see when it's relatively closer to the sun. Gives us a good idea of what to look out for when we're playing the game for real :)
