So how do I buy a new weapon?

I can't see any in port options.

There's commodity market etc, but no outfittings market.

When I go to outfittings, I can't alter anything.

I'm in the same boat... I have no idea what I should be doing, Im trying to do cargo runs and selling at different places but im making pennies, and I can't buy anything with those pennies... Im enjoying the beauty of the game but I feel like theres nothing to do to make money and progress.

SO yeah, when you die with it, it will go, unless you select to buy your ship back with old load out. EXPENSIVE!

I had over 3K, but nothing as far as a menu option.

Can't even check "un-affordable" prices?

Maybe later, depending on resets. As of now, you get to make your money the old fashioned way.

To earn money you need to know your market. Buy low, sell high. Look at the prices, and you'll see what to trade. Once you get 3k or so, you can outfit a 2nd fixed pulse, and then can combat at the low intensity areas. Pick a side from the functions UI once you get there, and kill. Always have at least 2-3k available for insurance on your ship if the rats gangbang you.

Eagle costs 40k, cobra 110k, so you've got some killing to do.

I still can't buy a weapon. I've even gone to I-bootis. with over 3K. I simply can not find the area in which to purchase a new item. It's not available in the outfittings tab, all that does is display what I already have. (1 loaned laser)

Could you describe your actions step by step?

You dock at the station, enter Starport Services, open Outfitting, select C2 hardpoint... what happens next?

Ok, so I did it!

Something's have to be clicked with mouse to work, space bar doesn't always select the option it seems. :p

The alpha backers were given 1.5 million credits before the premium beta went live but when it did this was taken away from them so that everyone could start on the same level playing field in a sidewinder and just 1000 credits.

For those struggling a bit to make moeny Kerrash posted a video on youtube and in it he gave some tips about how to make some money so have a listen to that. Its a bit long though (about 1.55hrs) so settle down with a cup of tea or something stronger if you prefer and enjoy. It will be worth it.
