So how do I fly the FGS

1) Learn to FA-Off.
2) Learn to FA-Off.
3) Learn to FA-Off.

You can't outturn anyone in this ship. What you can do is fly by and strafe and FA-Off turn to keep your nose pointed at the enemy. Fly backwards if you must. The goal in this ship is not so much to avoid fire as it is to win by attrition. A class 7 PD and 7 hardpoints can rip most ships to shreds quickly. I personally had three gimbaled beam lasers and four gimbaled multicannons on her pre-2.1. I haven't played her in the last few months, but I'd love to try the full multicannon setup, with half my weapons using incendiary rounds, and the other half using corrosive ones. Sounds like fun :D

Well I'd like to atleast keep a somewhat open mind to ''It's not the ship, it's me.'' even though I do very much enjoy the Federal Dropship and do alright in it.

Teach me how to fly the FGS maybe even give me a loadout and think of me like I've never flown anything less agile than a Python. Oh and prefferably something good for PvP, I won't be doing much else in it apart from assasination missions.

In Soviet Russia FGS flies you

According to the data in Truesilvers maneuverability thread, the FGS is about on-par in maneuverability with the Anaconda.

That's kinda sad.

Just for fun, you could put 7 turreted lasers on it and make it a flying disco. I doubt it would be practical, but there is no doubt that it would be hilarious.
