So how does passenger satisfaction work exactly?

Do you lose rep/money if the passengers are unhappy and are there several negative states before the missions a fail? Also is there any way of repairing the satisfaction or is it stuck on an unhappy state?

Just asking because I got scanned on the way out to a long range mission, is it still worthwhile going ahead even though passengers are unhappy?

If they become too annoyed, they will (literally) jump ship and you will be payed nothing. If they are unhappy but still aboard, you may proceed but beware not to annoy them much more.

Also, you cannot gain customer satisfaction, only lose it.

Has anyone had "clean" passengers jump ship from more than one scan?

I'm currently approaching Sol after taking them to both Sag A* and Jaques beacons but as stated above had one scan, if I get scanned again are the missions a fail?

ive noticed its usally the third scan they bail on .

BUT

its more to do with the fact they were scanned and they were already miserable.

I would like to know if satisfaction is subtracted from a hitpoint style pool or if it runs a RNG each incident to decided the effect of whatever you did.
