So, how does "rare commodity" work now

No, having to read a 110 pages would be excessive, that would take ages!.
.
Anyway Han Yolo, people have answered you here :), plot a big route with multiple rare trading stations & pick up the small amounts as you go along, sell the rares when your ~130 LYs away from it's source. With the large number of rare trading stations (listed on the 1st page of that large thread) you could probably plot a large circular route. Plotting the route would probably be the hardest part of it!

Makes sense to me that rare goods are, well, rare. Not only as in limited to only specific systems, but also in how much is manufactured in that system at a given time interval. I've done a bit of rare goods hauling. My largest cargo have been 10 Tons - and I only got that much by buying up what was available, then rummaged around nearby systems for some side-trade and missions with the occasional return to stock up a bit more before doing the long haul.

Though I think I'm pretty much done for now, maybe just a run or two more to get my guns up to par, but I'm itching to go find me a place to call home and get real friendly with the locals. Perhaps rank up some with the Federation even.

The problem with rare goods, is that trading in them is a bit addictive - the profit makes you think all other kinds of income are by and large peanuts and not worth the effort in comparison.

Since the latest unnecessary and completely idiotic change "rare commodities" don't seem to respawn anymore.
I've bought 7 tons of " Lavian Brandy" yesterday and today all i could get was 1 ton. So what happened there? Why does a producer of "Lavian Brandy" refuse to sell his product to me? Why is FD making so many wrong <snip> game-changes?

Supply rates for most of the rare goods are variable, so you could get 1 or any number up to 7. Hit a bunch of stations selling rare goods until you filled up.

I've got a route I travel with my ASP collecting rares, takes about 2.5 hours to do a complete circuit but it's making about 3M per lap, it's a bit of a grind, but I have a fuel scoop and plenty of good tunes on, collect a few rares at each station - sell them at certain points, job done.

Although, the only reason I'm doing this is because ordinary trading wasn't anything like profitable enough, hopefully it'll improve..

Wanna share the route? lol
