So... Hutton Orbital. Who's been there? And who ever went back?

It took me about 1hr 30mins from star to station in a rather laden Type 6, crossing the bubble with rares. Went through a full podcast with time to spare, and had to keep nudging my controller every now and then to stop it turning off. Being able to see our Sun from the cockpit on the trip was nice, but that's about the only positive to the view!

Have most players been there just out of bloody-minded stubbornness? Does anyone include it in any trade routes?

A shame I didn't make the trip in an explorer, as it'd have been fun to at least scan Eden. But I can't imagine me making the returning journey just for that...

I went there twice. Once because of a Community Goal that was running, and then a few days later to collect the reward. I was in an Asp Explorer.

Never been I'm afraid...I'd rather shove live wasps up my bum :)

Been 3 or 4 times....last time was in a Conda just to linger about the station looking for funny looks from CMDRs :)

edit: and to answer a possible question, I set a timer on my phone and went to cook, eat and clean up from dinner with enough time left to watch an episode of @midnight.

Tried once. Fell asleep on the chair. Woked up suddenly. Saw that i missed it and i'm almost at the same distance as i started but on the other side. Closed the game. Went back to nap.

quite a few times helping out the hutton truckers and doing CGs
teabagged in a conda for three nights running and done loads of runs in a python
i guess i'm just a glutton for punishment but i enjoyed the teamspeak with the lads and lasses , great fun

Ive been there three times- once for the CG, once for the Hutton truckers event thing a few months back, and once for a video- last station I landed at before Distant Worlds :)

Hah, I was kept awake by a mortal fear of something going wrong before I docked... I need to make some serious creds before Horizons, so the seemingly endless flight just felt like I'd set myself up for an amusing/agonising failure.

I did 18 trips during the Hutton Mug CG. Delivered over 5,000t of scrap....
At what point did you lose your sanity? And how did you get it back? ;-)

Was ED even on console at that point? But yeah, community goals tend to pass me by. I either don't hear about them until it's too late, or I'm in the wrong place doing something else.

I suppose Hutton was a novel experience, but my previous endurance arrival-point was around 20mins real time, so Hutton absolutely trounced that record. I unlocked a couple of achievements selling a few rares, and the final approach out of supercruise was a mighty fine sight; the dark side of Eden looming large, silhouetted against its star. I'm glad I made the trip once, but unless there's a very specific reason to return, when I leave tonight it'll likely be for good.

So long, Hutton, and thanks for all the, er, mugs...

I might just head out there in my Corvette, it's at 70% paint, and nothing strips paint like an hour and half at 2,000c, lol. That could easily get me to 0% paint.
