Yes I understand I can't target anything or even dock,but hey it would be nice to hear the lovely voice when you approach a space station. That is the time, when you are limping ,on fire & bits falling off, when a few words would warm the cockles of your heart :(

I guess what you say is true - but I'm with Dognosh on this one. Not quite sure why sensors should have anything to do with radio comms. But maybe they use the same aerial or something so it is easy to make up a reason. But I do think it would be nice to have the greeting even when limping home. Perhaps the greeting could even be modified based on the level of damage - message like "holy cow, is that thing still actually running?" or "we've prepared the workshop for you Commander" would be rather nice.

Likewise with the DC. If you have one installed, the tower doesn't even acknowledge your pad until you engage it.

Lol i actually find that the repetition of docking radio chatter gets irritating, i didnt realise that was a way of getting out of it :D i'll give it a try next time.
