So I bookmarked a system that I can't access

Hello everyone!
So there are a handful of systems that cannot be accessed by normal means, like PSR JOD24-F204R, and can only be accessed by a developer teleporting you. I found the system mentioned before in this video:

If you want to find one of these systems, then type in PSR into the galaxy map search. They are the first to pop up. You can bookmark it like I did if you have quick fingers.
but yea, there was no real purpose to this thread, but then again, when will a bunch of systems that are impossible to access have a purpose?

There's a whole sector of stars between the bubble and Jellyfish Nebula that are permit locked like this. I almost had to backtrack 1000 LY backwards when I did my 5000 Ly trip to unlock Palin in that direction a few weeks ago because I got hemmed in by them. Fortunately, I found a 1,200 Ly long "tunnel" that got me through, with manual plotting, where the stars I was jumping to were the only ones I could jump to without a permit. Got a ton of "first" exploration credits on that route....seems no one before me wanted to do all that manual plotting or something.

Manual plotting in those difficult regions is one of the best challenges for exploration.
I often fly to places like that, or where the stars get very spread out, just to make exploration a bit more challenging.

If you head south from the bubble, then up to the top of the galaxy about 8000ly, you'll find load of my tags dotted around in dead in systems. Lol
Discovered about 30 neutron stars doing that.
It's really really tempting to use one to jump to a cluster of stars you can't reach otherwise. But then there's no way back. 😁

To be honest, the route plotter should find the route, too, I don't know why it has trouble near permit locked systems. If there are stars we can jump to then there is a route. The plotter should just exclude all permit locked systems and immediately see the route through. In fact, it should be even quicker since it could exclude most stars in the area from consideration. We shouldn't have to manually plot one by one since the tool is designed exactly for that.

How did you bookmark it? I couldn't get the thong to show up when I select the star system. It disappears as soon as the system finder lands on the system.

Cool! can you write down the list of systems that are required to make it over?

For that, i just spammed the button to move right on the options thingy, and while doing that, i was spamming the select button. After a while, it just worked

Nevermind, someone already did

Unless someone researched the route I ended up taking it's not likely to be the same route that I had to take. From where I started (Maia) the plotter was able to plot a route to the Beta Site I went to in the Jellyfish Nebula just fine. What caused me to get blocked in by permit locked systems is that I decided to side trek to the two systems where it is super easy to fill up completely on all G4 raws (except Selenium) at biological sites.

These systems are HIP 36601 and OUTOTZ LS-K D8-3. So instead of taking my directly plotted route to the Beta Site from Maia I first when to HIP 36601. From there I went to OUTOTZ LS-K D8-3 and once I was there it wouldn't plot a route to the Beta Site due to all the permit locks around me. I found one jump that did head at least in the right direction though and ended up having to do that one jump at a time plotting for the next ~1000 Ly or so of the trip.

I didn't keep track of my route personally but EDSM has the full flight log (I auto upload to it with EDMC) if I ever want to look up the information. The return trip was much easier, just plotted the route all the way back to Maia and off I went.

maybe it's not a bug but a feature, to show how hard it's to be a explorer, like a mini-game. because you can strip-down this task to a simple auto-pilot (just click to system in galaxymap and the ship fly to the system automaticly), but then, what would be the explorer-profession worth? i think this is the small inadequacies and malfunctions in navigating characterize a good explorer-pilot.
