Ship Builds & Load Outs So I dont know what to do I've put myself into a hard position

Thats my type 9 that Ive bought and upgraded a bit before i realized I didn't have the credits to rebuy it if lost. I have just under 3mil credits left and am looking for some advice. Should I just go for it and try doing some trades to make money enough for a rebuy or do I get a small ship and grind up enough credits to be safe? I have been avoiding playing because I made this stupid mistake. [where is it] Also another option Ive thought about is maybe selling and setting up another ship to regrind back up to a type 9 and actually have the credits openly available.

Park the type 9 and go back into your old ship.
If you sold your old ship, then yeah...buy a new cheaper ship to build up credits with until you can afford rebuy.

Selling the Type 9 will result in a loss of credits due to depreciation. I'm usually okay with that myself but if you don't want to lose your investment then get into a smaller ship grind up the rebuy until you can fly the T9 safely.

if that's your actual build ... i wouldn't fly it outside a high security system at all.

depending, where you are at and if you have horizons, you maybe could fly inner-system trade routes. sol for exampel has well paying trade routes between stations on the same planet...

anyway, you are looking at 8-20 mio for additional outfitting to make your t9 durable for inter-system trading, plus insurance, plus CR for cargo.

either you sell your t9 and take the loss. or you take a smaller ship like eagle/viper/cobra/t6 to earn this money via bhing/rare trading/mission running/state depending trading. i would do the latter.

Goemon I hear you on that. I've been starting on mission running but it doesn't make credits like it used to when I started playing. I very much regret selling my nearly fully upgraded type 7. On the bright side I learned to planet land today, didn't go well to say the least. 3G gravity was a bad place to learn.

OP, I would take this low-cost Viper (1.2 million) into a High Intensity RES site, reset the instance until you get a big ship spawn (FdL, Clippers, Anaconda) and fly with the cops. Attack what they attack, kill warrant scan your targets first, join the fray when target's shields are down and make quick and easy money. You will make a few millions in no time and also increase your rep with local factions thanks to the warrant scan and the bounties you hand in.

I'm running this type 9 build and not having any trouble been running community missions and but I'm prob having a lot of luck when it comes to not being interdicted, and if interdicted I'm got enough in insurance money from doing high value runs aswell, can get around 600,000 to 1mil minimum per delivery if you use trade routes wisely.
