Horizons So I download horizons....

I have ED..(in another forum this could be embarressing ) :)
soooo I downloaded it from steam..been playing a month and decided to get horizons dlc.
Its downloaded says installed but I cannot find any buggies or hangers for sale to slot in my planetary landings slot.
Is there something I have to do to get it to work?

The Hanger goes into a normal internal slot, and is c2, c4 or c8. The Planetary Landing module is just there by default so you can land. Once you buy the hangar you need to select its slot and add a SRV. Most planetary bases with outfitting sell them. Also, make sure you are launching Horizons and not vanilla. :p

Launching horizons not vanilla?
Would there be a new shortcut? My screen looks the same...32,64,arena32,arena64

so hangers and srv are only sold on ground bases?
How do I know what you can land on?

No new shortcut, your launcher has the options to select Horizons, Elite Dangerous (32 bit), Elite Dangerous (64 bit) or Single Player Combat Training.

Planetary Vehicle Hangars are sold at most outfitting stations and outposts - SRVs can be bought once you have the hangar and you can buy more in the Restock screen of Starport Services.

You can land on bodies that have a blue arc around them on the system map, they have a little spaceship icon next to them on your navigation panel and they show the distance / speed panel when targeted.

Your launcher will be blue coloured instead of orange if you have access.

There will also be an option in the launcher "Elite Dangerous: Horizons (64-bit)"

Also, if you're launching from steam, before the launcher pops up, steam may as if you want to launch
Elite Dangerous
Elite Dangerous: Horizons
Elite Dangerous for SteamVR.

Pick Horizons.
But Sometimes it doesn't, and you get to pick the version from the launcher, in which case it needs to be ED:H 64bit.

Sounds like your launcher hasnt updated. It needs to be blue instead of orange, and provide explicitly a 'horizon 32/64' option. Hangars are sold in many stations/outposts as well, but planetary bases have them nearly always. You know which planet you can land on because they have a blue circle on the system map, and a special icon on the left panel in the ship.

Did you register/activate your copy on the frontier main site? I seem to recall having to do that when I bought horizons but they may have changed that since then.
