Glad you cleared that up. For a moment it sounded as if you genuinely believed trading was necessary.
You could surely do better then 500k per 17 minutes with that mindset.![]()

I have a fully kitted Cobra and Asp and I have great fun in combat with those. Love bashing Anacondas at NAV points and RES. All good fun.
My point is that with the new ships coming I have to mindlessly grind in the T7 just to get the CR. And drink more beer.![]()
Or you could not regard earning lots of credits as 'succeeding in the game'... Then you could have fun. Like me...
Or, get a Cobra (or substitute another ship that can be configured for long range), mount a good FSD, a fuel scoop and good scanners, and go see what is out there. The views around the Orion Nebula and Bernard's Loop are spectacular, and not that far away. From there, pick a direction, or look up interesting astronomical features on the Web and go find them. You won't make as much money that way, but much like in life, money does not necessarily equal success in this game.
I think that a lot of people here who say, "Dude, it's not all about the money..." already have the money and a Python. For players starting out, they need to grind the money before they can get the bigger ships and, you know, have fun.

Great, no?
Or I can...
- Bounty hunt
- Go to war zones
- Damage my ship
- Pay lots of CR for repairs
- Goto 1
