So i finally Joined the Python club

So, to start off i quit my job as i have lots of money neways and decided to work on getting the python and i succeeded. one week of 10 hours days trading and the python is mine with some decent fits and enough credits for insurance and to be able to continue on trading mmmmmmmmmm so sweet flying it reminds me of the viper as it is so maneuverable, a dream ship if there ever was one.

I'm afraid, that will not last for a long time.
The devs consider the python as too overpowered and they will drop its manoeuvrability.

Hello Commander Johnny Spaceboots!

Just watched the video you linked. Have to say and I have to say, it didn't seem to me to a complete joke (I found it rather enjoyable, and in fairness, so it seems did the players involved).

The python is by most reckonings, a beast of a ship (a little too beastly, we will be dropping it's manoeuvrability a tad). Interestingly, if the Cobra had had weapons other than missile racks on the wing mounts, the python's shields would have probably broken a few times (missiles are utterly terrible versus shields, though they are hungry for hull).

Do I think the video highlights an issue: yes. Do I think the tweaks rolling out will address it: I'm not sure. Am I prepared to make further changes if we feel the next changes don't work: yes. Do we have quite a few options: yes.

It may well be that we end up with one of the more severe solutions, but that will only happen once I'm sure we can't find more interesting compromises.

Welcome.

Nothing quite like a full A Spec Python. Exepet an A Spec Conda maybe :) but it's tones of fun. Enjoy your well deserved rewards.

Have a rep +1 for your hard work.

the cost of fuel hopfully will be dropped then and maybe a little boost in range aswell. from 5000CR in my clipper to 35000CD same distance was bit of a joke 6x cost for a smaller class ship, feels like a congats on the grind ready to double it to shoot stuff. i can live with that but i hope they dont go all CCP on us like eve and start nerfing everything till its crap.

They're reviewing running costs. It's not based on the size of the ship but its cost. Think of it as a tax for prestige owners, so that no one pays docking fees.

Well I'm busting my (posteriora) trying to scrape the creds together to get this ship - it's been my goal from day 1 and now it seems like what I end up with will be some watered down nerf version of my dream machine. NOT HAPPY JAN! That news totally deflated my balloon and I'm a little p'ssd about it.

"Drop the meneuverability a tad". Nothing to worry about. ;)
