This is an excellent idea! Gives them something to think about and do rather than just wondering if they are going to be murdered. Nice one!

It also puts them into moral dilemma mode. Selling something worth at least 20k+ cr/T is a lot for a new CMDR, but maybe they will be caught and fined? Maybe the station won't have a lack market? Will they know where to find one? Will they make it far enough? Potentially a lot of learning in a very short space of time... Also, hopefully, kinda fun.

I would have serious issues with that new guard. Reminds me of the movie "The Green Mile" with Tom Hanks and the character Percy Wetmore who kills the mouse...The problem is that Percys are welcome in Elite Dangerous! Hopefully they are too busy playing the game to kill live mice or people! ED could be saving real lives!

On topic: To the OP, why do you have to interdict instead of just chatting Hello (sorry can't watch video, YT is banned)? I think interdiction will just cause confusion and panic to the newbie.

If I'm in the same system and see something like this I'll surely drop and let my MCs give some "advice" to the interdictor (don't worry, only some warning shots on the PP )
