So I took a 7 million payout passenger mission without looking at the details...

So considering my passenger is a beautiful woman I decided against ejecting her into a sun. Instead I made it to my 2.000ly+ destination! The Celestial Gem (aka CD-39 6137):

Now I just need to fly back :(

Some observations:
- The detailed surface scanner is incredibly slow. Its fine when you explore one system for fun. But when you explore a hundred systems it is frustratingly slow.
- An incredible amount of systems have already been discovered! Something like 30% of the systems I enter have been entirely or almost entirely explored, with another 40% being partly explored. That's 1500+ly out of the bubble and taking a random flightpath (not the most logical) to my destination. Very impressive.

I feel you OP.

I took a bunch of passengers to Sols True Northern Star, didn't check anything except that it existed on the map. Lol
I got to within 120ly and couldn't get any closer. And I had no SRV fitted for gathering materials. Lol

Had to abandon it in the end.
Next time i do a trip like that, I'm taking my Anaconda. Lol

Everyone will be missed by someone. You took on the mission & it's completeable, so complete it. Which will you remember more, that mission you just abandoned, or that time you stupidly agreed to do 600 jumps in a 17ly FAS but saw it through?

For context, I'm currently 25,000ly away from the bubble in a 19ly Corvette ;)

Wow i could not do that with my corvette i would self-destruct.

Any passenger mission over 1,000 LY is not financially viable. I can make more in the same time frame by taking several local missions in the time it takes to go out 16,000LY and back, for example.

True. Though long range credits will be buffed in 2.3. But I would also nerf the top end of local sightseeing missions. Because 36 million reward for a 68 minute trivial mission is just a bit over the top.

Just discovered my first earth-like world! Wish we could name them on discovery. How much are they worth? I'm expecting millions but I fear that's not the case.
