So, I use just the Frontier launcher...

... but I see that it can only be bought in the different platforms version. Can I buy it for, let´s say, steam, and continue using my current independent installation, or do I have to reinstall it in steam?
I´m betting that my current installation will work, given that the steam version uses the frontier launcher anyway, but just want to be sure
