Newcomer / Intro So I want an Anaconda...

In Ceos/Sothis in order to fill up on missions you need to log/spam the mission boards.

Yes this is the fastest way to make money but it is dull and gamey. Each to their own but I prefer not to use exploits like this (not a punishable exploit of course but also not something intended by the game design). There are tricks you can play with rare trading as well but again I'd rather not as it feels wrong. Depends on how much you just want to make virtual money as fast as possible versus how much you want to play the game.

Note: Don't run between Newholm and Sothis Mining, it takes too long. Run missions from New Dawn to Sothis Mining, then back to New Dawn, then out to Newholm, back to New Dawn, etc. keeping New Dawn as the center point.

So for this data transfer part, I guess the ship you use is largely irrelevant as the 20 mission max is your limit, as long as you have cargo for the rewards?

Also, what is the most efficient way to collect the missions? Should you wait at one station until you have 20 missions for your next stop? Or pick up everything you see, but simply drop them off in the correct order as you stated above?

Yes.

I would pickup everything available then without bothering with all the mode switching go to first destination pick up everything available there and follow the route until you have completed all the data missions and have a full hold of long range cargo, deliver that and collect any convenient rares and head back out to start the cycle again.

Hah! Just realised I was reading the power usage bars wrong. Hence the huge power plant - I was trying to keep it under the line in the middle which I just realised is only 50% [haha]

Also the AMU was an accident, it came with the default and I never noticed it there. Cheers for the help, tho, save myself a couple of mil your way [up]

"Fly safe, submit and run" I'll Need to staple this to my head since "Submit and kill" has been my mantra since I got the cobra.

Also, my plan is to keep grinding until I have enough cash for a fully tooled Multipurpose Conda + insurance. Half a billion or bust. All will depend on if I have the stomach for all that running away from bounty credits

Just a slight warning - an a-rated multi-purpose Conda is in the region of 750M not 500M - or at least mine was. I had 1.1 billion in the bank when I bought mine.....

It gets considerably cheaper if you have access to discounted modules. I only have a hair over 17 million rebuy on this (beta insurance):

Swap the large (g) burst with a huge one (not available on coriolis unfortunately). It's fairly modded by engineers so there are actually no power issues.

Maybe I should buy a bigger freighter and switch to trading?

This is what I done after a week into the game sitting on just a couple mil in the bank, got myself a Type-6 with 104ton cargo (112 is max without shield) and used http://eddb.io to find profitable runs, running around 60-70LY for 500k profits (yep, buying like 250k, selling 750k).

One warning if trading, DO NOT be aligned to a power as you get so much hassle in "hostile" systems, I lost cargo I had bought for 560k this week :|

But after 2 weeks in the game now, I got 8 ships I think, exploring now but sat with 10mil+ networth, so was quick to earn the millions with the T-6

Get into an Asp. Trade, mine, fetch etc. CGs can pay really well. There's usually at least one money-maker system near the bubble.
