So i went bounty hunting.... In a Type-9

Another episode of how to lose a lot of money,be crazy and have fun in a type-9:

Well i was always a bit nervous to take my type-9 out for trading, so i had enough of that and put 2 continuous firing lasers on top, a chaff, shield cells and a mine launcher on the bottom. Also 2 machine gun on front for the small hardpoints. 6D shields.
I had 30M in the bank so i deserve a bit of fun, right?

No KWS as i suspected im not gonna go far with this and just wasting the power. Lets go USS hunting with an empty cargo hold, so the pirates wont attack me after scanning. This way i can fire first. Went through like 6 USS and killed about 8 eagles and cobras(55k bounty). Then in the 7th USS, a Wanted Elite Anaconda. OMG, Im so dead:)

It didnt even tried to fire on me, just rammed me to death...LOL. As he getting closer i was trying to get down with the trusters but as the type-9 is really slow it easily adjusted and got my shields down and hull down to 5% on the first try. Lesson learned, never let an Anaconda ram you:) I dont know what happend after this , he probably fired on me because that 5% was gone in 5 seconds and i died.

Later that day i accidentally get too close to the dock entrance with boosts before giving it over to the docking computer (my GF distracted me to be honest), so i rammed the station with about half speed. Shields down, 33% hull left with a 6D shield. 1,5Mill in repair cost.

This is how millioner playboys have fun in Elite;)

:)
This sounds like a "I went off road to spash mud in my E-Type Jag"-kind of thing... :)
What's next? War zone in a hauler?

Given the amounts of credits people are making, I'd imagine a competitive 'Hauler Fighting League' would be an amusing pastime in some well-to-do systems. Perhaps Frontier should organise something... :)

I met the tech trader Type 9s in a USS and two of them were fighting.

Both using what looked like multi cannon turrets and dumb fire rockets. It looked amazing! Like BSG or something.

I snapped out of my reverie when I saw the bounty on what must have been the aggressor tho.

This would be awesome, the hauler must be 100% stock minus the shields to keep things fair.

If you had 5 missile launchers and flew in reverse for the whole fight, bet you could have scored the Anaconda bounty.

I've been saying the l33test (and craziest) pilot in the launch trailer was the guy that climbed into the T9 for the raid. All them other guys in Cobras, Vipers and Anacondas are nothing special. Anyone can do that.

I am glad you told me to find this thread. This is exactly the kind of non perfectly calculated profit I was talking about.

Hehe

You kinda lost me there. Whats "non perfectly calculated profit"? Profit meaning fun by burning cash by heaps?
