Powerplay So, is Aisling going independent?

With Riri now on the loose, I feel that her route will culminate with a trip to Cemiess on the 25th. Perhaps she will be heading there to provide the live entertainment. Maybe they will ask her 'where have you been', or at the end of it all there will be cries of 'man down'.... :p

While I would agree that there is a high likelihood of either a Duval or a Rochester having a history of INRA involvement, Aisling has spoken out against INRA publicly, and when she cast doubt on Aegis's abilities and competence, Commodore Riri McAlister arrived on the scene to voice her support of Aisling's perspective.

There is a lot more going on with this storyline, but I do not believe it will be what we expect. Though I would be surprised by what many people expect or want, I'm sure.

I'll laugh my of if Aisling turns out to be a traitor to her supporters. The feeling of betrayal from all those "Aisling best waifu! NUUUUUUUUU!!!" supporters will be SOOOOOOO salty...I need to stock up on popcorn.

As for the "imbalance" of supporters? Come on now. We all know precisely why Aisling gets so many players to support her.

Prismatic. Shields.

Even when it's just those who don't give a damn about her, they run with her long enough to stock up on some pris shields and then switch powers. It's rather silly, all things considered. If other PP modules didn't suck so bad we might not have that problem. Maybe if PP modules were made permanently illegal for those who weren't pledged to that power...not with Aisling? Better not be caught running pris shields then!

Honestly, it's hard to say that the players who just join for the shields are much support. Most of them just join, either spend four weeks fortifying Lambda-1 Tucanae to 3000% or preparing whatever trash system the 5c has pushed to the top of the list, then burger off again without ever bothering to understand why that was bad or coordinating with anyone else. If that's "support" then I'm a Thargoid.

I think that PP modules should have a switch that if you pledge to someone else it's turned off this would make PP and PvP a little more entertaining ;)
