Just asking because my receipt of payment actually has it as a donation.

Now I can claim donations through my business, just wondering if anyone else plans on doing this or if there are any issues with it?

Comes to just over $500 Australian for my so called 'donation', so 30 percent back would be quite nice, lol.

I would imagine tax deductible donations would be referring to donating to a registered charity which of course this isn't!

(I suppose David could try to argue that it is a charity for keeping 40 something space geeks off of the streets)

No, it would not be a tax deduction in Australia.

You didn't donate to a charity, you gave money to a commercial enterprise.

I will make my accountant earn his money and find a way to turn it into a charity.

Not sure I like his chances though, but perhaps David and Co could hand out a few bowls of soap in London or something.
