Before anyone mentions ps4, yeah, yeah, sony and all that but there is still xbox which doesn't really seem to have issues with it, unless of course the way the games handle internet on the different platforms is the real issue.
So is crossplay something that couldn't happen?

Nope - it can happen at some point. fdev have commented before that they are watching the situation.
well....maybe in a state like California but I think most of the world is still pretty set on traditional-play.
