Funny how when I read an article like this, the first thing I think of is "Ooh, I wonder if I can go visit that in ED??

Wonder now that the game has been released if it's too late for FDEV to add stuff like this? Guess it would seem kind of weird if planets just started showing up as Keplar discovers them..

FD has already added nearly all 150000 cataloged stars that we know about, I don't think anything else will be added, maybe if we make a large discovery, but besides that ,no.

Well HIP 116454 is in the game - no idea if it has planets though since it's data is not available from where I am.

Although the game's designation for the planet would be HIP 116454 - 1 (or whatever sequence it is out from the main star) ...

Actually, they have said (on these forums) that they have the ability to change systems "on the fly" and have the Stellar Forge recalculate the system with the newly known parameters in response to discoveries of this type.

Don't know if they'll change explored systems (that have already been visited by a player), but the implication is that at least they'll be integrating new discoveries into "unknown" systems.
