So is it worth the extra expense

To invest in a set of peddles?
I've a pro52 hotas set up and I'm wondering if it's worth an additional hundred pounds or so on getting a set of foot wear to aid in flying.

any help and advice always much appreciated

Yup - I have the VKB T-rudder pedals, love 'em. They are perfect for "top down" style, such as office chair play (which is how I am set up).

There is actually quite a long thread about this very topic, with some awesome shiny stuff to aspire to (Slaw pedals or Crosswinds, for example).

only for extra immersion and if your looking for the cockpit experience....I play in a sim cockpit myself for all sorts of games from this to SC to ETS trucking games..DCS ect...

I use my old thrustmaster driveforce pedals as yaw pedals......my game recognises them to use as input....and if game doesn't then use joy 2 key to bind keys a and d to the pedals respectively.

try it if you have a old set lying around...otherwise you will be spending money on yaw pedals that are just dear coz of the brand...they don't do anything different...apart from the movement style.
