So is the galaxy as big on Xbox 1?

Same size and everything- just not shared. Yet, I may add.

As far as I have heard to only difference is the number of players in an instance.. pc is 32 Xbox is 16
Which with Microsoft's Azure backend I thought for sure it would be the same number of players. After all it boosted battlefield players to pc level

Not shared yet i believe. Its in beta, so my guess is its a clone of the galaxy in the state it was just before release, same as we had with powerplay and earlier betas.
My guess is they will either face a commander wipe when it goes live, or just their commander will carry over, and any changes they have made to the galaxy (eg: through powerplay) will be lost.
Of course, pure speculation on my part.

they are currently in a separate shard - like the beta tests for pc.
iirc, once its properly online the xbox guys will affect the same universe as us but you will never see them in the same instances as PC users.
meaning more people to affect our universe without any way of interacting with them, meaning if (big IF) xbox players grow larger than pc players in numbers, we wont be in control of our universe any more.

That's how FD explained it when they first announced Xbone version.
It will be interesting seeing how this effects Powerplay since I can see Xboners supporting certain powers which will screw the player support for powers even more.
Wait, I thought one of the big announcements was that Xbox and PC players would get to play versus each other in the same instance?
Nope, one big clue is that XBone will only support 16 players per instance, compared to PC's "supposed" 32.

Heh I've never seen 32 players in an instance on the PC. Maybe 12 to 16, but never more than that. If we can't shoot xbox players that's a big disappointment. I want to fight for pc gamer justice and righteousness!
it gets worse, if we end up having more Xbox players than PC players, who will be influencing the same universe as us, then we PC players, as a whole, will no longer be in control of our own galaxy.
I suppose at least that will kill the online vs solo discussions or change them into PC vs Xbox instead.
Hmm. That is no different from what will happen with any other influx of new players is it? In terms of PP for instance I guess that Xbox, Mac and PC players will work together for their chosen powers just as easily (or with just as much difficulty) as Mac and PC players will. I suspect the Xbox players who come in and decide to stay will not be very different from any new PC/Mac players who are also starting now.
