So it happened

I traded in an Asp Explorer I was playing with to get my main ship the FAS back and I had about 44 million into the FAS. What I didn't pay attention to was that after I refitted the FAS I didn't have the cash to cover insurance. I have never lost a FAS in HazRes so you know didn't really pay attention.... however that is when the galaxy reminds you of the pain hammer. I was fighting an Anaconda when a Federal Gunship ran me over while I was low on shields, I thought OK I got this then the Anaconda flipped over and nose dived right into me leaving me with 8% hull and the rest was history.

I am sure I am far from the only pilot to go from high on the hog (For me anyway) to broke. I had read on these forums 20 times of "Don't fly if you can't afford the rebuy"... LOL lesson learned. Fly safe, fly with enough cash.

At least you take it in stride.
.
Ramming has kind of become the norm anymore for AI opponents. So much so, I hope the next batch of ships that comes out has at least one with a huge ramming spike on the front. On two occasions last night I got run over by dropships that almost sent me back to the insurance screen and had to flee back to the station with 30% hull left. I was fighting in a RES in the shadow of a planet, and couldn't see them well enough to avoid. Which btw I now recommend avoiding. Fight in the daylight.

Lovely to see a commander that accepts that they messed up and went out without adequate insurance losing everything - and didn't blame the game! Have some rep!

Think of it as a fresh start :D. But sorry you lost it all man :(. You have the know how, so it won't take you nearly as long to recover.

Yeah I lost my damaged 90 mil Python last week after much bounty hunting, thanks to a ramming npc when I dropped in on a distress signal ... enough insurance but was a bit annoying.

Funny since most of the ramming I have seen has been FDS....after all it is already shaped like a railroad spike.

LoL yeah those Fed ships are good at ramming, I only seemed to get hit if really slow or stopped then half the resource extraction ships start running into me. I like beer for sure that will make it all better tonight! Just get er done.
