So, I've got the Prisma Shields, what should I aim next for?

Now that I have access to an banked the pretty princes' Prisma Shields after 4 weeks of waiting, what PP-module should be my next target - the pack-hounds, the advanced Plasma Accelerator or the Imperial Hammer?

I play solo only and so I only fighting PvE but I try to have some fun with engineering the weapons around.

Whats your favourite weapon module and why?

Well, I like using the Advanced Plasma Accelerator with Plasma Slug effect on Efficient Grade 5 rerolled till I get some crazy secondary effect or an apex primary roll.
 
They're all good choices. Packhounds are arguably the one which differs the most from its non-PP equivalent. IHammers (and normal rails) are having their thermal load reduced in 2.3. I can't think of anything to say about APAs, but they're rapid fire PAs, what's not to like?
 
Just be careful with those Prismatic shields, you can easily fall into the trap that they are the best shields for all occasions, which they aren't.

Cyto Scramblers are good from what I hear - for shield shredding.

I'm actually tempted to try a 4x Advanced Plasma Accelerators Conda... but I'm so bad at fixed weapons playing with M+K, and all.
 
I enjoy my packhounds, at least aesthetically. Words to the wise, though, 4 of them can be quite heat-intensive.

I hope, personally, we may see a balance pass on powerplay items soon....
 
Yeah, thats how I mod all my large projectile weapons, but I think the APA need efficiency - 4 of them could cook my dear ship.

Get the same with my imperial hammers with the extra ammo capacity on my asp, the 12 slugs firing off prob do more damage to myself than any attacker.

There's no better (or other) way to get more comfortable with fixed than by finding a fixed weapon you like and using it. And as above, modding them for faster projectile speed is a very viable option. Although efficiency would help a lot when running four APAs.

It really depends on what kind of ship you like to fly and your fighting style. Right now the pack hound missile racks are the most versatile and user-friendly item so probably get those. If you like flying small ships I also recommend the enforcer cannons - they're a small fixed hard point weapon which behaves like a cross between a multicannon and a regular cannon. They're fun to use and have a wonderful feel to them. I haven't really evaluated their effectiveness but they're *supposed* to hit harder than a small weapon normally would.
