So, I've got to ask - Who else "talks to the game"?

Like leaving the station, you line up and hit the fsd charge "(station) control, (callsign) departing your range at this time... All hands secure for jump."

Intermediate jump point(s) "Referent acquired. Cycling up. All hands secure."

At destination system "(station) control, (callsign). I have your beacon. Inbound."

Before drop "(station) control, (callsign), at arrival range... All hands take hold for normal-space maneuvers."

"(station) control, (callsign). I have the pad. On final."

I don't, but there's nothing wrong with talking to the station.

I'd be very worried if the "station" spoke back though...

I always tell the station flight control to eff off when they tell me to slow down, when they tell me to give way to larger ships (when I'm in my cutter), when they berate me for my flying when some other ship hits me (and I was stationary!)
Cheeky barstewards.

I've been known to violate radio procedure and just tell 'em @#$%$#%^^#%&^$@#@!!!!NONONO! too :)

They usually shot at me right after for some stupid reason too...

I think I've said something like "Ah, thank you very much" when the station controller says "Enjoy your stay, Commander."

Not to the station but to my NPC pilot crew, when he's out on the SLF or flying the mothership. If he's doing a good or bad job of piloting either :D

Haha yep I'm guilty of it too.

"Please enjoy your stay commander" - "I will, thankyou".

"Loitering is a crime punishable by death" - "Buzz off SysCon, I'm going ok?!"

"o7 commander" - "o7 flight control" (first time I heard that I couldn't resist actually typing it in local haha :D )

Would be cool if ED (station, ship, slf, NPC, Thargoids, Guardians, Braintrees?) could respond based on voice integration. Definitely a new level of game play.

I've created some voice attack scripts that do nothing in game but they do respond to me for instance i say "prepare for launch" and VA responds with "launch command acknowledged, pre-launch diagnostics complete, bringing eneregiser online and commencing launch sequence". It's a bit tongue in cheek and my 26 year old (avid gamer) thinks I'm nuts but hey.
Edit
Also I've created some with multiple choice responses from VA - just to make it less predictable you know.

surely the game wouldn't bother talking to us in the first place if it wasn't expecting some kind of response back in return...

"that's the ship i'm looking for, the one with the big haul" - "and i'm looking for the guy with the big mouth. found you."

"please make way for larger vessels." - "i'm in a Cutter, you dense bint. show me these larger vessels"

"how do you fools make a living?" - "bounty hunting, actually." (pew pew)

"FFD out!" - "'bye honey!" (because she sounds so much like my ex-gf in a snarky mood)

"i'm going to pick your bones clean, greenhorn!" - "i'm going to leave yours all black and meaty and smoking."

...plus a whole boatload of others

I regularly shout at annoying NPC's.

Or when i get stuck in hyperspace. Like i am now.

I've decided my internet refuses to take part in CGs. -_-

I also shout at my own ship when it's hurtling towards something I'd rather it wasn't. :D

Any tips on how to escape a stuck transition without killing the task?
