As someone who has been playing Elite Dangerous since the GPP days I’m heartbroken about the news not to develop the console versions further.
Like many Commanders on here I have some very special memories of ED, and eventually if the servers do finally get switched off, all those memories will be lost. (Like tears in rain.)
I remember playing the original Elite back in 1984. It was always my favourite game, then and now. I was also one of the backers on Kickstarter for Elite Dangerous.
I’d like to believe that there was a possibility of the developers changing their minds. But it seems pretty final.
But I still hope.
