So much....So much....

First, sort Fleet Carriers out. they should be Squadron Only. Make them the GUILD base, allow the carriers to hold materials, data and item items than can be shared between squadron members, and allow the Squadron to decide what kind of carrier they can build depending on their clan, ie, combat, trade or exploration with each upgrade allowing the carrier to be designed around each one. Increased jump distance for exploration, more turrets for combat etc etc. The cost should also be reflective of the squad as well.

I would love to see the ability to walk around ships, don't care what your PR guys say, the game is built around immersion, and thats what the player base wants to see and feel and breath. Yeah i get it, the animations are going to be time consuming, And yes, its going to increase the power requirements of the PC user base, but there should be an option to turn it off as well. This is something that has been promised, the community are begging for. Imaging having your own cabin, and its filled with all hte trinkets that you have collected from around the bubble, the Hutton mug on a shelf, a bottle of lavian brandy...immersion.

Weapons need rebalancing. Ie hand guns. The TTK at the moment for a lot of the weapons are pretty naff. You need to look at something like Halo for a better balance on TTK as unloading a complete clip in to one person, just to switch over and unload another clip in to someone is pretty poop. This could be fun, if the baalcne is right. And with BF2042 really messing up at the moment, this could be great.

More vehicles, ie SRV. we have one for combat, one for exploration, a bit of variety in these would be lovely. A SRV that has a way to locate biology on planets? yeah, would be super. A combat Tank? YES please. The scorpion also needs some tightening up as well.

I would love to see plantery mining like in frontier. Set up a rig, leave it for a few weeks, go back and collect some rewards for it. Again, another SRV could be used to depoly and set it up as well, expanding the options of game play and immersion. Eventually, and i know this is a big ask, but i would love to have a small outpost some where in some small world turning a small profit. NMS has this, its not impossible, but again, would just expand the Frontier for us.

Loads of reasons.

Systems can be over flooded with carriers, which also in turn can make instancing a problem. They can have a massive effect on The BGS, or have had in the past a massive effect on the BGS. As a solo player could own one, you suddenly loose the potential of what they should be and that's a GUILD base.

They should be focused on Guilds, or squadrons, bringing a turn into an EVE online style corporation (SQUADRON) like system into place, Thus just making them more than a personal station to land at, but bringing Hostilities with other Squadrons or Factions into play. It would be down to the individual squadrons on how they utilize those carriers, for example, two factions could start a war with each other and fighting for control over a system, they could warp their carriers in to a space in which they could go to war with each other. Carrier battles, with personal ships.

I already do, and an FC, so whatever happens it won't affect me!
I'm curious, what is your squadron called Varonica? I created a player faction and a squadron called the EPSG / Ecological Preservation & Studies Group operating out of Rho Octantis look at the system description in the galaxy map sometime k

If I have a squadron of 1, can I have a FC?
In my opinion FCs were originally designed for squadrons and therefore they don't fit well to the case of personal use. I think there is a way to improve the design - introduce smaller and cheaper, more mobile personal FC with small number of landing pads, small upkeep etc. And improve current FCs implementation to fit squadron use - sharing captain role, collective pay upkeep and more services for groups (like pre-upgraded module exchange, bgs missions hub etc).

And yes, single player should be able to own squadron FC if they wish - paying all respective costs and taking risks.

I have the Gnosis squadron, while there are a few other members in it they are inactive in the squadron so it's effectively a single player squadron.

so what happens to the current single player FC's?

Nope. That's a can of worms. And it would lead to friustration.

People can make 1-man squadrons. So this limitation will not work.
But it will lead to frustration between people that want a carrier, but also want to be part of a bigger sqadron

Then, let's talk about a random squadron.
Someone is grinding hard to give the squadron a carrier. But then the squadron leader has it's own ideas where and what the Carrier will do
The one grinding the cash for the carrier opposes - and gets kicked... Frustration? Rage?

No, IMO the current implementation of Carriers is the best one and it's leading to least of problems

First of all - adding another, smaller, cheaper FC is not a solution. And current FC is cheap enough.

Even if FCs were at first designed for squadrons, it quickly became obvious it wouldn't work as a shared asset.

Ships are modular. What if you swap 2 modules in hangar? How should it be reflected "on the walk" visual ? So genius simple solution - no ships' walks inside.
