So no offline is a game breaker

Hello Fellow Commanders.

So after posting in multiple other threads about the offline problem that was revealed in the last newsletter and getting accused of being to rude and a "vollidiot" i decided to open a tread to discuss possible solutions for that problem.

So what solution could that be?
First of all if you are one of the People that have very weak internet connection or no internet at all you should ask for a /get a refund maybe you could come back later (see my proposal for that).
You can to that by asking the support to help you out.

In the newsletter is stated that the it will be necessary to connect from time to time to update to the server for multiplayer part and progress and that a fully offline experience would be unacceptably.
I can understand that and its technically impossible to mimic the online behavior in a truly offline world.

My Solution would be a modification, a standalone offline version after release for everybody that has no internet.
This could be delivered to all backers and pre orderers via website and boxed if you are not able to download any expansion pack could be delivered the same way.
This offline version of course could never get any major change happening in the online world except they are included in the expansions.

So the people that are asking for a refund now because they would not be able to play could join back offline again later.
Or online if they have a stable internet by then.

And I am sorry but I want to play offline because it was promised is not valid in my eyes . if your internet is bad I can understand asking for a refund.

I don´t at a poll because this thread is about possible solutions not about a vote for a or b.

If you have any other ideas how to solve the dilemma feel free to post here.
Me be we find a solution.

Whilst i can understand & sympathise with the offliners, i backed this game because it was going Multiplayer.
There are other great space sim games out there if you want the single player experience my favorite being X3 Terran Conflict with literally hundreds of thousands of hours playability! or even the dated Freelancer.

Making Elite Dangerous multiplayer was the best way forward, the only problem is that so far multiplayer in ED has not been done very well infact is laughable.

They really need to do a lot of work around playing in groups with friends atm all you get is the ship blip in the radar is the same colour and thats it.

When your gaming & in a group you should be able to hear and communicate with everyone in the group via your headset, in game distance should not interfear with alliance chat at all.
You should be able to turn this off or go to private chat also.

You should also have a world channel option where you can hear any chatter within range no matter who it is.
Without this feature in a multiplayer game its just like playing a single player game anyhow and atm ED feels like a single player game when your playing it.

Cheers Konig
