As a new-ish-ish player, I'm unfamiliar with the significance of the Formidine Rift. From what I know, it's a rather sparse area of the galaxy in stellar terms. Seems like it would be a poor choice as a target for colonisation.
Oh, that's just what they want you to think. There were expeditions. A new hope for humanity. A betrayal. A coverup. A search. And finally an exposure.
You should go see it someday. Beautiful Earth-like worlds out there in the far-flung fringes of the black. Far more than there should be.
