So the Condor is in the game now, eh?

Is that just with this patch or has it been around? First time I've seen one.

It was pretty cool looking, with its body being separated as it thrust forward, kinda like a catamaran. Smaller than I thought it'd be. Looked eagle sized. Blew it up pretty quick and only gave me a 1k combat bond.

It was fairly common around Alpha, especially when dealing with fights around that battle cruisers. Or cruisers, depending if they were in mating season...

Also, in Empire space around space stations you can see the Imperial Fighters sometimes, these weren't in alpha :).

If you'd like a quick, effortless look at one (or two) try the Combat Training. Two on One.
I know it works in "Single Player Combat Training".
Not sure about "Training Missions" in-game, but I don't see why they shouldn't be there.

They make the Winder feel like it's 'standing still'.

It was never meant to be more than an NPC ship. No jump drives, carrier based, military use only.

Ah, okay. I think I read somewhere that eventually players are supposed to be able to pilot small craft launched from other players larger ships, so maybe they could be an option if and when that is ever introduced

In FE2/FFE, you could purchase and pilot various air fighters like the Kestrel, and light combat craft like the Falcon. You could actually even fit them with small Interstellar Drives, but only just barely.
It would be pretty awesome to be able to pilot light fighters, but I don't really see any reason for it other than the fun factor.

I take it you've seen the Empire small fighter too.

Would be nice to have one in your anaconda. Especially when planetary landings is a thing and you want something fun to wiz around in.

I saw the Condor only once, in the end of December. Rare sight, but it is there. Not player-purchasable yet AFAIK.
