I predict that Zackary Hudson will have her assassinated before she wakes up from her coma.

We all know Hudson was behind the disappearance of Starship One in the first place.

It'll be made to look like an accident or a fluke, but it'll happen.

EDIT: When it does, remember who called it probably fifth. Geez you guys are fast.

people have been speculating on the forums and reddit that Hudson was behind it all for the last week or so... originally it was speculated on whether or not she was dead already or was alive, but if alive then Hudson will likely attempt to kill again.

Although you werent the first, you are in the company of many who also speculate that Hudson isn't done yet.

I'm fairly sure that it was Core Dynamics. Whether or not Hudson knew or was behind their attempt is another question.

He has no need to kill Halsey now he has the presidency. Unless that us she was killed because she knows something. In which case I'd expect her to be in a coma for some time.

What odds will someone give me that Hudson and Patreus both have assassination attempts on them in the next 2 weeks?

That's what I'm thinking. He's going to have her killed because he doesn't want her to wake up and tell everyone "Hey, yeah, Hudson tried to kill me. Arrest him for treason."

Hudson in the frame? not really. Look at the facts. Before Spaceship One's fateful voyage the Halsey presidency was in serious trouble. Hudson didn't need to eliminate Halsey as politically she was a 'dead man walking'. Felicia Winters on the other hand comes from nowhere and with the President and Vice President missing presumed dead she takes over the party unopposed. Sure they lost power, but it meant that Winters could repair the party's damaged image.

Of the two Federation leaders, Winters is the more suspect. But then again Core Dynamics could be behind it attempting to cover up something to do with the Antares incident.

I don't think it's either of the Fed powers, they didn't dance about it too much, nor did they change anything drastically in the window they had...

I suspect there is another force at work.

It's not for me to say, especially when I'm a Banana and you Humans are...well, complicated.

My general understanding of how Humanity works does comes down to money so that's where I would look first.

I would really like it to be Hudson, loathsome right winger. Alas their is no evidence of his "direct" involvement, and he did not think it was engine malfunction even when still shadow president 28/05/3101.

There is something very "House of Cards" happening though. Haisley's original VP Smeaton had a private investigation into Antares incident suggesting sabotage - he was murdered. The reporter Elaine Boyd was investigating this. She was also investigating the Type-9 collision accident that may of killed the lead investigator on the Starship One incident Arnold Lowe. Elaine Boyd was in turn found dead, but not after being accused of the murder of Susan Munroe, her lover, who happened to work in presidential security protecting Hudson.
