So...the NDA was for what purpose?

I don't understand why the whole NDA thing happened. We knew about pretty much everything in 3.3 already. I was hoping there would be something unannounced at the end of last night's livestream (didn't they say there would be new unannounced content?). Overall, I'm a little dissapointed. 2018 has brought me nothing in ED. I hope the players who are into mining and exploration enjoy the developments, I can see why you're going to get benefit. Tried to temper my hopes but still feel a bit.. meh.

What exactly were you after for an update that is meant to improve the core elements of the game?

They said they dislike heated feedback and withdrawn their communcation channels because of this. In other words, their feelings got hurt and thus the "consequence" is silence. Pretty stupid but I guess this is how it is.
Or maybe they can't announce something because they know they can't keep aelf-made promises.

I see FD being on a good way to the recent D4 disaster. Elite: Mobile, anyone?

I dunno tbh. I just thought there would be some actual content. There's little bits here and there but honestly I don't think it's much at all. Mining could a reasonable change but exploration is just a different way of scanning. We really don't need new ships. What we need is new gameplay. No matter. I guess I'll wait to see what next year brings. I still don't get why they enforced an NDA. I doubt it would have been a huge deal if the Mamba was leaked.

The main goal was to improve core *gameplay* and while Q4 certainly does improve mining and exploration, PvE combat is still the same braindead full gimbal/turret mayhem of engineered ships vs unengineered NPCs. PvP still unbalanced (though not as hard), money and material income sources unbalanced (especially important for miners as the mining overhaul won't be touched if the payout is 100 times lower than missions), Thargoids still being a place holder (no use for thargoid materials) and most importantly optional (they never attack me and are actually quite peaceful if you jist let them poor space flowers be), not to mention technical issues remain untouched like multiplayer connectivity and stability, game balance as a whole, being stuck in outfitting UI and other bugs.

Like, it's a small fraction of what should have been done within *a whole year*. Squads being merely an ingame discord server with limited use (just a text chat really) and the new ships being purely combat focused with no actual challenging combat in the first place apart from PvP. Lastly, why doing anything in Elite today? You can get to a fully G5 engineered big ship within a week or two from a sidewinder. And then, what exactly?

Nothing? I'm blow away by the amazing size or your hyperbole... Just what do you do in game anyway? Even combat has received some work with this update. I can't think of a playstyle that hasn't had some love in this patch. I just can't fathom what you were expecting...

People are jealous... Just like me when Westie and others got a free trip to Sweden to play Battlefield 5. And as far as it goes, it might have been worth the trip alone to party Alex and everybody else. I'm always up for a good pint of ale!
