So...umm..

I have seen a thread for this before but can't find it.

It concerns the matter of the Black Ops missions.

I managed to kill the Gen after chasing him into another system. It didn't update the mission to completion.

I'm assuming that he has to be killed in the original system.

Is this intended or not?

Had similar thing happen to me. I spent a not inconsiderable amount of time and credits in repairs and ammo taking out a Fed. Dropship only for the police to arrive late in the fight and get the last shot denying me the bounty.
Was fuming at the time not least because having had something similar happen before I'd prepared this time. Had full power to weapons, was within 500m and let loose 1.5 million worth of Beam and Multicannons when The General had 2% hull left.
Annihilated the dropship with power to spare yet an apparent 'Lucky' bullet from the cops won the day!

Posted ticket.

The sort of good news is that after dusting myself down, swallowing the loss and heading back out I found the target again at the first USS i came across! This Time I got the last lucky shot :)

A possible solution to this problem would be turning off the "report crimes against me" option but, the bottom half of those options wont do jack, don't function since the last patch!

Correct. I've had a couple of Fed missions to kill Generals. If they do jump out don't follow them. Start your hunt again. And yeah, you definitely need to turn off "Report crimes against me" otherwise the Feds will show up, scan you, tell you do go about your business, then steal your kill .....
